“On The Fly”
Here is a photo I shot hand held a bit ago while hanging out with my pups at this wonderful waterfall up in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington. In so many ways this particular waterfall started so much for me and so I decided to spend two mornings at it and also a few evenings as well in recent times because its been a long time since I gave it some proper attention. Shot in the Autumn of 2020.
“Steps In The Forest”
Heres a pretty interesting road side wonder from The Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington state. The story behind goes like this; I remember cruising down the FN rd while possible smoking dope & listening to some good tunes when out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of some white water up in the trees so I slammed on my breaks and proceeded to go investigate what was going on, but once in the woods a little ways I was saying “Ooooooooooohhhhhhhh Yeaaaahhh, Now I remember this one!” to myself which was followed by a audible Fuck Yeah!. The reason for the excitement was because the last time I saw this place a few years back it was late summer and the flow was just a wimpy trickle, but not this time around cause the moodiness and flow were what Id call about as perfect as it can get.

“Power Nap”
Here is a wonderfull off trail waterfall located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in southern washington state. I named this one “Power Nap” because my dog and I arived many hours to early for this type of lighting so I ended up laying down on a large patch of super soft moss near this composition and proceeded to take a nap for a few hours while I waited. Thank you and visit my website for more of my photos.
“Right On Cue”
Today I present a waterfall photo that was shot somewheres in the spring of 2021 in up in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest which encompasses a good chunk of southern Washington State. Me and this creek go way back as it is one of the creeks in which I started figuring out lighting & actually planning for things like sun burst opportunities years ago. This is also a hand held focus stack + long exposure which is kinda why the burst isn’t a tiny pin one due to sacrifices being made in the field. Held focus stacks & longer exposures are both nifty skills to have in my opinion and well worth taking the time to hone as skills for sure. Anyways, Have a wonderful day and thanks for looking.
